I totally agree with the fact that the book can offend many of those who may not have an open mind when it comes to their Christian beliefs and also that the book may be complicating to understand and dissect for those not familiar with the Christian church. Among the many aspects of the book that make me ponder and question the credibility of the ideas are things such as the fact that the book was written by Sylvia Brown, a psychic who has been following the spiritual advisement of Francine which means that most of these are mainly predictions which cannot really be proven and do not have a reference to a historical background which can help us truly believe in the things mentions. This book mentions several controversial things that go against orthodox Christian teaching which can truly change ones beliefs or cause ones inner Christian to truly be invoked and outraged. Among the many controversial outcomes that could of confused readers was the fact that she mentions that Jesus family was actually pretty wealthy and at birth was born in a luxurious inn, now I do not know about what other readers have been taught but as a super Christian myself I was taught that Jesus came from a humble family. The book also mentions contradictions to the bible that includes facts such as ideas that Jesus was born at the time of the census in Luke, and Mary and Elizabeth are sisters, among many other controversial points. I also really enjoyed Sylvia Browns view of Jesus as a spirit being connected with a higher power and the lack of our forgetting of the morals behind Jesus fighting the religious wars. I definitely back up that this book may be very complicating to dissect and analysis just because I believe that to truly understand what is going on and the things being mentioned one must have prior knowledge of Jesus and must have read the new testament bible something constantly referenced in the book. I feel that this piece of literature went much more in detail to what Jesus true life was like and not only on what he did. Other than those flaws I noticed in the book I really enjoyed it and astonishingly agreed with some of the things mentioned in the book even though they were not facts, they were things I could see being true and was willing to open my mind to accept.
I felt that the book was an extraordinary book that confirmed many of my ideas about Jesus, but also baffled and somewhat questioned my beliefs about what I have been taught as a faithful Christian about the true life of Jesus. Among the many things I can agree are that to read this piece of literature that has many controversial topics involved, one has to be extremely open minded to new beliefs and must impede the inner Christian spirit to protest. The many topics that I agree with in this book include the ideas such as the facts about the fact that Jesus' family wasn't poor, Joseph was the true father, there was no virgin birth, Jesus was born in June, Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married, the wedding at Cana is Jesus' wedding, John the Baptist was an Essene, and that Jesus studied with the Essenes, but was not a high position member. Since the book was written based on the spiritual guide of “Francine” who has been advising Sylvia Brown for the past 60 years, there are also many new ideas said based on Ms. Brown psychic which I strongly disagree among them including the ideas that Jesus was born at the time of the census in Luke, and Mary and Elizabeth are sisters, among many other controversial points. I was able to get a vast amount of facts, ideas, and opinions from this book about god’s life beginning from his birth all the way throughout his lifetime. I enjoyed many aspects of the book and felt that it included many important facts about Jesus’s life that helped me answer many of my conflicting issues with the bible. One of the things I strongly disagree with in this specific book is the fact that Sylvia Brown mentions that mother god is not mentioned in the bible when indeed she is in several sections. Overall I agree that this is an intriguing and fascinating book that caused me to want to continue reading and not stop when I started it.

I gave this one star: but in reality I could have given it 4 - because it was HILARIOUS! ;DI'm amazed how many people get spiritual and academic advise from a Fortune Teller and her spirit guide (Francine?!). Yes she claims to do it out of the overflowing love of her heart. How many of you have checked her history and exactly how much she CHARGES for that overflowing advice? Anyone? Bothered to check? I didn't think so. NO surprise - those with no discernment generally don't research things for their lack of truth. Hey, whatever makes you feel good.Most of what Sylvia teaches and claims is very common teachings from other gnostic spiritual wannabe's. But the fun difference is: She has Francine (her demon spirit guide) to help her keep the truth clear. Of course Francine claims there are NO SUCH THING as demons...just wonderful guiding spirits to enlighten the chosen few to help them make a few extra bucks off the gullible. Hey, would a demon lie about such an important issue? "Naaaah!"The truth is Sylvia and Francine really hate conservative fundamental Christianity and its Biblical teachings. Yet she claims to love Jesus. How interesting - so do Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and numerous other cults and spiritual wacko's. And they all hate the truth of the Bible and historical Christian theology. The solution: Do exactly the opposite of everything Sylvia and Francine say and teach. Then you should be okay!
