About book The Most Dangerous Animal Of All (2014)
I was so fascinated by this story! Started off a bit slow but doesn't last. About halfway through, I couldn't put it down. It left me with some questions since the DNA was never proven, but sure does seem to be true and thus, sadly mind blowing! Would highly recommend to people who are fascinated by crime mysteries and adoption stories. Those two topics in one book made it a complete page turner for me! Gary Stewart, adopted when he was only a few months old, always wanted to know who his birth parents were. But when his birth mother finally tracked him down, and helped him look for his father, he found a good deal more than he bargained for: Stewart's research has convinced him that his father was the notorious serial killer known as the Zodiac. This book makes a fairly compelling case, but in a sense it feels like the author's too close to the subject matter. It veers between the emotional burden of his discoveries and the more common ups and downs of simply trying to work out one's place in a newly found family. Near the end, when it lapses into conspiracy theory, it's at its weakest, and unfortunately it seems that neither Stewart nor the reader will ever get a definitive answer to the questions that remain.
