About book The Mist On Bronte Moor (2012)

(This review may contain spoilers).I have this weakness for time travel stories. If they're handled realistically, they can be really interesting and well-done. I found this one to be really quite interesting.Heather was an interesting, well-written character. It was good to see events from her POV and I thought she came across as quite strong and capable... until it came to Branwell.I like books with romance in them. I really do. But not when the heroine (and, invariably, that's who it is) turns into a puddle of goo every time her romantic interest turns his attention to her. Considering Branwell was violent and addicted to drugs and alcohol, I'm not sure I could see the appeal in someone like that. Looks aren't everything. The other characters were interesting enough, too. I particularly liked Emily. I also liked the fact that everyone wasn't fawning over Heather. Their reactions to her were realistic - including assuming she was a boy from her dress and short hair.I have to say, I don't really know much about the Bronte family, but the book came across as well-researched, with the only modern language coming from Heather. I also did like the ending of the book - while not strictly a 'happy ending', I thought it worked particularly well with what the book was about.I'd definitely be interested in more books by this author. I am a fan of the brontes so I was excited about the storyline. I like how Heather's family was tied to the brontes and how she got to Haworth. I have always been curious about the Bronte sisters, Emily and Anne weren't as well known or as outgoing as Charlotte. It's a shame that they all died so young. I also like that Heather didn't know who they were until the end I like that she just sees them for who they were. The ending was a little sad, but I am glad that she decided to stay and have those memories that she had with them.

Do You like book The Mist On Bronte Moor (2012)?

Well written, but unsatisfying. Nothing changes and there is no happy ending.

I really do not like "time travel" books, but this one was pretty good.
