The Mist by Carla Neggers is an exceptional book. I really like this author and this is one of her better books. I love her books because you can read them in the series, or as a stand alone. I would recommend reading the fulls series, but if it is not available, you will be just fine. Lizzie Rush is a average individual who helps run a chain of hotels that her family owns. Unfortunately she falls in with the wrong person, Norman Estabrook. She is invited to parties and at one of these parties she overhears Norman threatening to kill Simon Kayhill. She knows that he will do it, so she sets out to save Simon and the ones that he loves, and only ends up putting herself in danger. Enter Lord Will Davenport of England, he watches Lizzie save Kiera Sullivan from a armed man who wants to kill Kiera. Even though Will doesn't know who she is, he is drawn to her, and drawn to find out Lizzie's identity. International spies, M16, FBI agents, Boston PD, confidential informants, etc., etc., etc. - all engaged in a cat and mouse game with a megalomaniac bent on revenge. From Ireland to Boston to Las Vegas to Maine; kidnappings, murder, bombings and family mysteries - all play a role in the unfolding of this suspenseful tale. Extremely well written, but a little difficult to keep all the players straight and to figure out who was on which side. Nevertheless, I couldn't put this book down in anticipation of the outcome.
Do You like book The Mist (2009)?
Was ok. Felt like it was part of a series and I missed the first book.

Entertaining but the romance part was a little too predictable for me.
