They go on a hunt to find the Midas Touch, for a man named Jordan Orr who is holding their family members hostage. After they travil to different parts of Europe and escaping death from the hands of Gia Cavano, they finally discover the chamber where Midas is buried with his daughter that he turned to gold after she fell ill and died. Tyler, Stacy and Grant almost doesn't make it out of the chamber alive. Stacy having a severe wound on her side and bleeding badly from it, came close to death. Tyler only sufferred a broken rib. When they finally get back to the US, Tyler goes to see his father in the hospital and then off to find out where Orr is to stop him from blowing up a major city with a radiation bomb. After finding Orr and stopping his plan, he ends up locking Orr in an old bank vault with the radiation part of the bomb. It took Orr 5 days to die from the radiation poisoning. Boyd Morrison did it again with his second book in the Tyler Locke series. He is one amazing author. He knows how to capture his audience's attention and keep it caught throughout the book. This series is a must read. I know that I enjoyed reading this book and I cannot wait to read the 3rd installment of this series. A much better read than 'The DaVinci Code', although similar in feel. This is far superior in plot lines and the reader is less bombarded with fiddly information but more realistic facts about manuscripts and technology. The 'Bad Guy' Jason Orr is very believable and his dastardly plotting is brilliant right up to the end of the book. The author has done such an excellent job of researching and making sure there are no holes in any of the plots contained here. This definitely comes under the 'can't put it down' catagory for me.
