Rather disappointing. I was intrigued because of the numerous reviews and shelves mentioning the book's "twists and turns" and "surprise ending" so I stuck through the book's detailed and exhaustive character development anticipating a solid surprise or suspense. However, I saw these "twists" and especially the ending coming from the very beginning. I didn't even realize that was supposed to be a surprise--I found the story plot to be rather expected and obvious so that the final sentence of the book, which was supposed to be jaw dropping, was a huge disappointment. I just stared at it and felt let down Um, not sure how to start. I think I liked it. I had to create a cheat sheet to keep all the characters straight. I would say it's definitely a page turner because I couldn't wait to see where the story was going. Felt a little let down by the ending, that's it?! Wasn't surprised like I would hope I'd be, especially based on the other reviews.I will go on and read the next book in the series, prequel.
