Well done!!! A fun, easy read. The story of an extremely overweight woman (can totally relate), who can't see past all the "Wrongs" done to her, decides to find some self-respect and begins the process of taking back her own life and lose weight. But to what cost... She continues to live the life a victim, and with her new body and new life, she continues to only see what’s happening to her. She does see who she is hurting in the process. Will she ever be able to love herself, find her confidence in the person inside, and stop playing the part of the victim?Mix in a loony bunch of friends (I love them), some sexy men, and a lot of courage... and Wow!! It was one of those cases where I was slowly, slowly working my way through it and one day, I just decided to finish it. And let me just start this review by saying this is one of those books that after you finish reading, you feel as if you have been through an emotional hell. A hard part of being a reader is reading people that you like and relate to, in however small of a way, make huge mistakes. Mistakes that should have been highlighted in red with DO NOT DO THIS written in all caps. Bella does that. A lot. And somehow, I still like her. I still felt that perfect happiness when it worked out, despite how big of a #$%^* she was at times. This was a free read and I would download it again. I enjoy reading about people whose lives seem to be going nowhere suddenly turn it around, day by day, step by step. The important thing there is step by step. However, even though I would download this again, I am a bit relieved to put it on my read shelves. As I said, emotional hell in a free novel. The kind where everyone hates you for a chapter or two. My one complaint about this book was the extreme ups and downs Bella faced just because at times, they did not seem as realistic as they could have been. That being said, I could totally see this as a movie. A good book, not for everyone, but it was a quality read and I enjoyed it enough to give it five stars.
