About book The Light In The Wound (2013)

This book was worth it and I really need to kick my own ass for not readynhis any sooner. The prologue really got me into reading it because of the mystery as to what happened and what will happpened flooded into my mind. I like this story very much because it relates to every person who has the same demons as Isabel and her familial past, specifically her mother. I would like to think of this story not solely forcusing on finding love but also finding yourself in the midst of confusion and angst. The plot was great going retrospective then back to the present was really something to look for because it answered and enlighted me in many ways than one can. I learned a lot from Isabel's story and how her struggles and fears were overcomed by love and trust. I have to admit that I was rooting for a specific scene that didn't come true but was happy nonetheless. The Light in the Wound is really literal after reading this story and I am more than happy to give this book a 5 star rating and am more than happy and prepared to read the next book the minute I get my hands on the next book. BOOK SYNOPSISAffected by her parents’ highly publicized divorce, Isabel grows up isolated and alone, with a resolve to never fall in love and repeat their mistakes. When Jesse Cain enters her life, she falls hopelessly in love with him, and every sadness she’s ever felt is washed away by his intensity and passion. But people change as they grow up. Things can never stay the same forever.Jesse and Isabel fight to stay together, determined to hold on to what they once had. Isabel wonders if a second love can ever be enough to make her forget her first.------------------------------------------------------------------------The Light in the Wound is a very good yet emotional book for me.I was hooked up by its prologue that after reading it, I really want to finish as soon as possible the book.In the beginning of the story, I was sad because Isabel have to be apart from her sisters and from her mother. That she needs to study abroad. When she finally went back home, she reunited with her sisters and her mother. She also met Jesse.Jesse played a very special role in Isabel's life. He's the love of her life. Isabel gave up everything for him but still they didn't work out because Jesse was busy in building up his-their future. Then Alex entered. Alex made Isabel his top priority and that's why Isabel fell in love with him. He loves her more than he love anything. He always make her feel special and always there for her.As Isabel made her desicions, there are problems and consequence to face. There are questions to be answered. It's an emotional book for me because I felt their PAIN and HAPPINESS.I got angry with Jesse I was dissapointed with IsabelI'm feeling sorry for AlexAs the story goes on, you will see how Isabel moved on and gain her back and in the end of the story, I was happy and relieved because Isabel handled the situation very well. :)Christine Brae did a great job in writing this story! We can see here how the characters faced their problems and deal with it. And with this, we can get many lessons from it.It's really an amazing book to read! I rated it 4.5! Although the stars are just showing four, Don't mind it then! Haha :D
