This is third book by Amy Harmon that I read and asked myself, what's with all the fuss about this author?! She just doesn't do it for me. Sure, her writing style is good, books are well written and the plot is interesting and unique but I still found her books kind of bland and slow developing. I'm writing in general 'cause all three of them I read evoked similar feelings in me. I really hoped, after exceptional things I've heard about it, that this book would be something special for me, too, but that's not the case. Maybe I'm just one of those hard to please readers, but there is something missing. So, three stars. Not sure why anyone would give this book less than 5 stars. I'd give it 10 if I could. I waited to read this BC from other reviews I knew it would be a tear jerker. It was a tear jerker and rips your heart out! This book was beautiful with a huge spiritual undertone. Moses is a brilliant artist who communicates with the deceased through his painting. He is misunderstood by everyone and not loved by anyone until his Grandma Gi and Georgia. Georgia becomes a force to be reckoned with. Moses loves her but he is unable to show love. HE leaves Georgia behind for years only to be brought back to her through spiritual forces. Moses vows to be what Georgia needs discovering what all he left behind and begins to make amends. He starts to piece together several disappearances which have plagued the small Utah towns for years only to find it's closer than he wants it to be.This was a phenomenal, beautifully written and heart shattering story to read. Have tissues!!
