The worldbuilding is very good, the 2 main characters are well written and engaging and the main story itself is interesting. However, almost all other characters are pretty one dimensional, especially the other humans, which are pathetic to boot. Then there's the rapes, which makes game of thrones seem like a feminist manifesto, there was enough of it that it went beyond being written for effect. I don't even know where to start in regards to this book. It's definitely not for everyone. I was looking for sci/fi type romance story and boy did i find one.The premise is pretty much what you read in the description. Most people would find the length of this book tedious and almost painful. There are moments when I had to put it down because I couldn't take it anymore. You go through amazing ups and downs of emotions and learn valuable lessons along the way. It can be violent and gory but you learn to accept that in reality everything is possible, even the bad events. The main characters were thought provoking and realistic, while the villains were some of the sickest I've ever come across. I spent 4-5 days completely engrossed. I practically gave up most other entertainment just to read. I love it but again It's not everyone's cup of tea.
