This book really brings you into dark places. I said that about the Left Hand of God, but I had no idea you could be drawn further down. Fantastically, it left me grinning and waiting for more. Cale goes from love to hate, back to love, and then to hate, and back and forth so many times you can't help but be torn between them. This book plays with your emotions, all the while satisfying that dark side you didn't know you had. Picking up where the first book left off we find Thomas Cale back in the hands of the Redeemers and his friends following along to attempt a rescue. Cale is announced as the embodiment of God's wrath is used to initiate a faction of the Redeemer' s plans to destroy the human race. In fact there is so much politicking within the Redeemers it is hard to keep it all straight. I was a bit disappointed with this installment of the series. I don't know if I will continue on to the third book.
