I so loved this story!! It’s just so cute and so – Italian?! It is! I could easily imagine the characters here and the big Italian family – the baking and all. It was all so very – hhmm delicious? It’s just so chic-flick if I’m being honest but the giddy kind of flick, that is. The guy [Sean] applied for a post in a small traditional Italian bakery because he wanted to try something new and wanted to decorate cupcakes! LOL. He totally wanna do it! And the sexy Italian-American baker [Joe] who doesn’t speak with his Mother because his Mother was rather mortified about his homosexuality. That was one hell of a funny set up – given the fact that they actually live together. Then Joe and Sean fell in love but can’t seem to really get it on what with all the family drama but eventually relented. Gosh, can’t tell much about this or I’ll just have to spill the whole story. It’s a wonderful read. Just wonderful and very cute. Go! Go! Download it now!!!!Rating: 4 out of 5 stars I knew I'd enjoy this, and I was right! I loved the family dynamics! There's nothing like love to create drama, especially in large, tight-knit families who have their fair share of tempers. Sean's persistence to really help out the bakery he comes to love working at, yet knowing when to back off, showed he really DID know people--even if he let his partner be the face of his old marketing company. And Joe was awesome. Gruff, yet personable, dedicated to what he does and happy with his path in life... he was very relatable. When he finally let go, dayum! Great characters, awesome plot with some drama regarding the big competition, and a sweet romance to rival the yummy descriptions of all the classic Italian desserts made The Last Cannoli just as awesome as I expected it to be.
