A guide that is set up for fans of the series I think between books one and two. A basic understanding of a little bit of Egyptian mythology, magic, and the gods. It's a great little addition and I'm so happy I found it for a dollar at a book sale, because there was no way I was going to pay like $12 for this. I'm ridiculously happy I have this though because I truly and honestly love Riordan and want him to continue writing books. I liked this book. It has a lot of extra stuff in it that the books dont have. Its kind of like special features. I thought it was very interesting too though. It has a bunch of information in it about egyptian gods and the history of egypt and i always love learning about that stuff. Its part of the reason i read the kane chronicles in the first place and i love them. I recommend this book if you read the kane chronicles because it really helps you understand a lot of it if you just read them once and u ddnt catch a lot of the backround story :)
