Just buy this book……Seriously…I was gifted “The Home Court Advantage” (Book 2 of the Lawyers in Love Series) by the amazingly wonderful author N.M. Silber, for an honest review. What can I say about this book? Besides that it is total AMAZEBALLS!! I loved “The Law of Attraction” (book 1) of this series, and was super excited when I received this book. I was very anxious to not only see Braden and Gabrielle’s relationship grow, but to be highly entertained by the supporting characters. I laughed so hard at some of the parts in this book that I literally had tears streaming down my cheeks. This book also contains some parts so sweet and romantic it would make any woman swoon. However, the icing on the literary cake is the sex scenes. N.M. Silber knows how to write sex. It was hot and steamy without overpowering the story. Don’t get me wrong there can never be too much sex in a book (in my opinion), but it’s also nice to have a great story to give it the complete package. As great as all the stuff listed above is; my favorite thing about this book is the nerdgasm I got from reading it. Give me a book with sex, romance and anything geek , and I have found my “Holy Grail”. When I read the references to: Doctor Who, Star Trek and Downton Abbey, I almost passed out from bliss. It was like the heavens opened up and the angels sang (but not the creepy angels from Doctor Who…….Don’t Blink!) and I felt all warm and fuzzy inside. And coming from someone who a lot of people describe as “The Intimidating Cold Bitch”, that is pretty miraculous. I read this entire book in less than 24 hours. That alone should tell you how good it is. However, if that isn’t reason enough to buy it…. just read the title of my review. Seriously….. In this book, we continue the love story of Gabrielle and Braden. You get more funny court room scenes (which include the couple getting worked up for each other while working and having to take care of business at the courthouse), more outlandish schemes from Gabrielle (she is referred to as “Lucy” more than once), more hot sex scenes. I can visualize in my head how these two must give off sparks when they are on opposites sides of the courtroom, arguing a motion. Hot stuff!You would think that Gabrielle couldn’t think of any other crazy ideas for this group to take place in, but you would be wrong. They all end up joining her at a UFO convention in an effort to find out who is trying to warn her away from her true love, Braden.So, in a nutshell: court room hilarity, hot sex scenes, UFO convention (with a sighting?), sexual tension between other characters… and mention of one of my most favorite 80s songs ever, Tonight Is What It Means to Be Young.
