About book The Gray And Guilty Sea (2000)

I just recently discovered this author and checked the libraries I'm a member of to see if any of his titles were available. None were, but when I checked to see if I could borrow this through the Kindle lending library, I saw that it was available at no cost. No risk, right? Grabbed a copy, and I was happily surprised to find that the book was better than I was expecting. Likable enough main character, Garrison Gage, and I like the sorta-local, small-town, coastal setting. Planning to read the next in the Gage series; if the series continues to improve as the writer gets into the subsequent stories, they'll be some really good reads. Good book and a good story. My only issue with this book ties back to the proofreading of this text and the grammatical errors that it was littered with. I was almost to the point of putting it down, but the story was good and I wanted to find out the ending, so I trudged through it. I have read that a newer (revamped) version is available, so I would recommend that version over the one I read.

Do You like book The Gray And Guilty Sea (2000)?

A little slow starting and cliched character development but still worth reading.

Typos bother me and there were many; story line ok but not great.

Not bad, a bit predictable, but all in all an ok read.
