This is actually a very, very sweet love story between a straight guy and a transsexual boy who's really a girl inside. My only complaint would be that Daniel / Danny / Dani got on my nerves at times because, let me tell you, chick-with-a-dick be one high-strung bitch! [S]he's moody, demanding, walk-on-eggshells sensitive, and freaks out about EVERY TEENY TINY THING - bloody hell, Kevin has the patience of a saint.Also, it was hard to figure out who was doing the talking a lot of the time. Dialogue tags are not the enemy! :) This story was a delightful surprise. I think it handles the topic of a teen transexual very well, while also dealing with the BMOC suddenly finding himself attracted to another guy, both in and out of his female persona. Kevin and Dani were believable characters and I loved how they handled everything that came at them, from their family and friends to a bigoted headmaster. And that epilogue.... Absolutely made me melt! I will be looking up more from this author. Such a unique voice!
