I wish I could give half stars!! 4.5 hands down! I loved the third installment of The Ghost Files series. The relationships are stronger, Mattie is growing up and we are getting to know her more. I love Silas and Zeke. Neither makes and admission that they are good at all. The honesty is fresh in this book. The history of Mattie and where she came from bit by bit makes me want to pull my hair out! Mostly because I'm just impatient. Lol. My one and ONLY issue with this book was I wanted more to do with the serial killings!! It felt "touched" on but my sick and twisted little mind wanted more!!! Apryl writes great serial killers as noted in the first book ..... I was hoping for more of the same. Other than that this book was phenomenal and a fast paced read. Third in the series, my only complaint was that the ending made it clear there would be a fourth book. In the first two, the stories were totally wrapped up by the last paragraph, this one left me feeling like there should have been another chapter. Or maybe I just really wanted there to be. As always, Mattie, our hero is full of life and believable quirks and fears, her friends are realistic and the fear and heartbreak are palpable.
