I read the ebook and listened to the audio...at the same time. It was life-changing for me. It made me look at God as my ABBA, which in all my Bible study and relationship with God, I have ever done.I run to my physical daddy at the moment of need...why haven't I been doing that with my spiritual Daddy. I'm learning more and more about the true love (not a fairy tale love) of ABBA. It's changed how I pray. It's the first I've read anything of Manning's and I'll be going back for more. I often struggle with non-fiction and/or with books about God. He's such a complicated God/Person, that it's hard to write a book that engages the reader and is authentic and honest. That's my humble opinion at least. Brennan Manning, before he died, wrote books that were engaging, authentic, and honest. While not linear, this book was heartfelt and gave me considerable pause in my personal faith in Jesus. There were several times I stopped because a sentence just grabbed at me. I can't wait to pass this one on!

I sat down and began to read. I didn't get up until I was done.
