I happened to read the first one after the completing the second so the twists were not as "twisty" knowing the outcome of the second book, however had a I read this one first, I would have said that the plot twists were excellent and kept you guessing until the very end. Having the heroine fighting a battle with alcoholism adds another layer to the novel and you find yourself hoping that she gets the help that she needs, when she can finally admit that she has a problem. Great read. Friday Edition was an easy book to read. The characters are well developed and believable and even though they are not perfect they are likeable. The mystery itself is a work in progress as the story moves along. I did not see the conclusion coming at all, but it made sense and it fit the storyline. No blood and gore. No sex or bad language. Nothing weird or unbelievable. Friday Edition is a well written and engaging who done it. I look forward to more of Betta Ferrendelli's mysteries.
