Good book. It's what I would expect from a student/teacher romance novel. Heroine is (of course) angst ridden, and makes a series of bad mistakes with regards to the hero, her boyfriend, and her best friend. It seemed drawn out in some spots, and too rushed in others. The ending seemed to take forever (between the requisite "break-up" and "getting back together" part of the book). I was skipping pages about the graduation, because...well, it was just filler, crap that really didn't matter to the story.Sometimes it was really hard being in the heroines head with this story. I would have loved some "hero" perspective on the whole thing, just to break up her "wordy" inner dialogue.Somethings you may want to know: heroine does have a boyfriend, and she does cheat on him with the teacher. But the BF also cheats...but that doesn't make it any better. Heroine is also insecure, quick to anger, and somewhat immature (but I guess that's all HS girls,huh?)This is actually one of the better student/teacher romances I have read. The writing style is good, and flows well. It doesn't break any "new" ground in this niche of romance, but it will satisfy the "forbidden romance" story you are looking for. Oohh yes I so loved this story. This is a fantastic debut novel. I look forward to reading more by her. Kaley is eighteen and nearing graduation. Unexpectedly she gets a new math teacher- Mr. Slate. Kaleys feeling a bit fed up of her life and pulls back from her friends and parents. Will a relationship with her teacher help or hinder her maturing??Fair play to the author for making her own slant on a popular written storyline. I really enjoyed this story of forbidden attraction.
