I am so crazy in love with these books! Where do I even begin?!?!?! OMG! During the first book, I had my favorite characters and of course I have some more favs but they’ve pretty much switched up this time around. I did like Paris until she had that baby. I was understand she was so much into her life & loved it but once she became a mother, that motherly instinct didn’t set in but I think that made her character that much more real because she really didn’t want to leave her old life behind. There are some parents like that so I can get where the author was coming from on that end. I like Orlando & Ruby last book but of course I switched up! Mainly on Ruby though because she was SO spiteful towards him. I loved how Carl kinda threw a curve ball in there with Trent going in while Orlando & Ruby were on the phone together. Genius! Hands down, Chippy Duncan took the award for my favorite character this go round! Honey, she put it ALL out there and didn’t back down to ANYBODY! If it weren’t for her, none of them would be alive right now! She knew exactly what she had to do, how she had to handle it and who to do it to in order to get her point across & I loved every second of it!So far, no negative comments or dislikes about anything in this sequel! Ready to read the third! Carl Weber has done it again. The Duncan family is so complex with its myriad of issues and its special "car dealership" business. The characters are highly entertaining and vastly deadly. With a matriarch and patriarch who will stop at nothing to make sure that their family will always remain on top, you can't help but want to know more about these characters and what makes them tick. I love this series and can't wait for the next!
