The Fallen Legacies surprised me in several ways. First off, it was written from the POV of the son of one of the main Mog generals. I was totally expecting it to share POV’s between One, Two, and Three. Secondly, it surprised me by being my favorite short story of thee three. Far and away my favorite one. Adamus/Adam is definitely a likeable character, despite being one of the evil Mogs. We get to see a lot more about how Mog society functions, and the author(s) did something really cool with One. I can’t say much more without ruining part of the plot, but it ended up being really sad and touching. I really hope we see more about Adam in future books. The lives of One, Two, and Three told in the perspective of a Mogadorian, Adam. It is a fresh take on the series because I always perceived the Mogs as ruthless, blood-thirsty beings without emotions, but this extra showed that they are capable of having emotions such as guilt, confusion, loneliness, and even attraction. Reading this also gives you a wider idea on how the Mogadorian lives--their goals, their training, their way of life.
