This is my first Real experience with Ruth Rendell, and while I haven't read anything of hers, I've heard quite a bit. This is basically another review-in-progress and therefore I Will post short reviews of each story as I read Them, starting, of course, at the very beginning. The Fallen Curtain (14 pages) is the sad story of Richard, a boy who had a bad experience with a stranger who picked him up on his way to his granma's. Now, the really strange thing is that he can't remember anything, except what his mother has told him that happened. Of course, she was never there... This story took me by surprise a couple of times, and even left my heart beating faster at one point, but fear not, every second is absolutely worth it in the end. Heartbreaking, but also quite amazing. (4 Stars)
