About book The Exception (2000)

Interesting little tale, but I won a gifted copy of this book from the lovely author herself via an Instagram giveaway! It was extremely sweet of her (I never win anything.. Ever) so I was excited to read! As I progressed with this story, I had to force myself to close out my kindle app just so I didn't rush the story and have my time with Cane and Jada end too quickly. This book really had everything: heartache, sass, romance, drama, angst, and a big Hollywood finish of sorts. All of it was balanced so well, it really sent your emotions on a roller coaster. I couldn't get enough! Cane and Jada truly were each other's exceptions. It makes one wonder if Cane has any clones walking around out there us single book girls can have for our own. I'm not opposed to the idea I loved this book. I really like the reformed a-hole stories where one woman makes them want to be a better person and that's what this book held. The a-hole who didn't like women who had trouble being around them for more than the use of their bodies who reforms himself when he can't get the lovely stranger out of his head. It does take a while for him to finally admit he wants her around for more than just her body but when he finally gets there....swoon.

Do You like book The Exception (2000)?

Okay book. Not a good balance of suspense and Cane's courtship of Jada. 3 stars.
