Maybe I am a glutton for punishment - or I am in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy and have horrible insomnia! I continue to struggle with this series. I want to like the series yet it is missing something . The main character continues to drive me batty. I wish she would overcome her 'fear' of letting Lugh in or at least come to better terms with it. I really like Adam and Dom and even Raphael but Morgan is a dead weight. Brain has even evolved as a character but not Morgan. GUH! I was nervous about jumping in and reading the 3rd after the 2nd (thinking some of the shine may rub off-too much of the same kind of thing). That was not the case! The overall premise is the same, Morgan is a demon exorcist who is illegally inhabited by a royal demon. She is trying to affect the war of the demons in a way that will benefit humankind. Her relationships with her family and boyfriend continue to grow in different ways. Old characters come back (whether for the good or bad for all is yet to be determined). New characters are introduced, and fully. It isn't the same old thing, just a continuation of the plot and a way of trying to handle it. I am definitely looking forward to #4.
I love their merry band of friends. Or enemies. Or frenemies.
