Ahmet Ümit'in okunması gereken eserleri arasında Bab-ı Esrar'ın ilk üçte yer alacağını düşünüyorum. Bab-ı Esrar kitabı her açıdan birçok sentezleme örnekleri içeriyor. Genel anlamda tasavvuf edebiyatının konusu olan Şems ve Hz.Mevlana'yı, hafiften polisiye unsurların arasına katmayı -kişisel kanaatim biraz da yoğun olabilirdi- etkileyici bir şekilde başarmış yazar. Dili her zamanki gibi çok akıcı, zaten Ahmet Ümit her zaman kolay okunabilmesi ile de tanınan bir yazar. Değişik bir konu, sıradan bir anlatım, zorlanmadan okuyacağınız ve bitiminde tatmin olmak isteyenlere tavsiye ederim. that book can be evaluated as the brother of 40 Rules of Love by elif Shafak...you start tracin the mysterious murder of Shams Tabrizi,buth the teacher and the bosom friend of Mawlana...that book shows the path for sufism with an ongoin process of a foreign women through the circle of islam...it was good enough as to force any limit before fiction..btw I was lucky enough to meet the writer yesterday in Taksim:)) now I should find time to spent on "İstanbul Hatırası", his new masterpiece... (now I hope then I ll be sure about how amazin it is)
