I did not get to finish the last story in this edition, I will eventually get around to reading that story separately if I can find a copy of it on it's own. I read and liked "In the forests of the Night" years ago and find out of all of the stories to do with this world, still to be my favorite. I knew about "Demon in my View" and know I had started to read it at one point but I must not have finished reading it as I didn't remember how it had ended. Definitely could have earned another star, in my eyes, if it had a little more consistency and joined the characters together better in each book. I lost track of characters and lives. I understand they are all entwined but more follow through is needed. Each book contained a new set of characters and a well imagined plot. The fist novel veered off from my expectations. It was written in first person and when I had adjusted to the writer's style she changed it up. I was drawn into the second third and fourth novel with no chance of disappointment and could barely put it down. There was enough substance to each book to keep me reading. I enjoyed the mystery of the "Rules" in their lives and how the main "heroine" finds her way even when it is not the path her rules would allow.
it was awesome but each book is a little random the characters don't line up
