I suppose that was amusing enough but it wasn't really written all that well. First, the librarian had so many stereotypical qualities that I was surprised I kept reading (some day my eyes are going to get stuck at the back of my head from rolling them so much when reading a book like this). Then started all the "I like you but you kill people so maybe I don't want to be around you" type circles which made the final 2/3rds of the book rather interminable for me.But, it was short enough that I made it through. Helped, no doubt, by the new demon lore; putting a new spin on an old concept always makes for a fun time. This is a fun story, and I only wish it were longer or had a sequel. I read the synopsis on Saintcrow's site and absolutely had to read it. I bought it right away and wasn't disappointed. It's lighter in tone than Saintcrow's other work, making a breath a fresh air. I love this author, but sometimes her books are too tense and angsty when taken in large doses. 'Demon's Librarian' offers a nice change a pace without having to deviate from such a wonderful writer. The characters are interesting and appealing. The plot is a lot of fun. I highly recommend this one, and I'm crossing my fingers for a sequel.

A resounding meh! Gave up on p. 89 because it was too annoying.
