This is the first book I've read by this author and it will not be the last. I imagine my poor TBR list is going to get even bigger than it already is.. poor TBR list.I just happened to be looking through my recommendations and came across this one and something about it really just captured my attention and wouldn't let go as I was looking to see which book was next on my TBR list to read. In fact, it captured my attention so much that I immediately went, one-clicked it and began to read! That very rarely happens with an author I had not read yet.I LOVED this book from beginning to end. Devin was precious and I just wanted to wrap him up in my arms and never let go. He just needed to be loved so badly but he didn't let all the bad stuff effect him, he had a ready smile for just about everything! The way he looked at all of the other Species/Aliens was how everyone should be looked at. Not judged for the color of your skin, the shape of your body.. on an on I could go. He just saw what made them unique and appreciated it! Bastian, wow.. can I have one of him? He was AMAZING! I loved how protective he was from the start but no overbearing. I love me some Alpha-ness in a man and occasionally love the totally dominant ones that all caveman-esque but Bastian was so gentle with Devin without making Devin feel less.I've only read a few m-preg books and this one was handled very well and very interestingly. I'd love to read more about this world and would love to see what the future has in store for Bastian & Devin.. and of course their growing family, especially with that Epilogue! Highly recommend!!! Okay, so the cover on this book had me worried. Frankly, it looked like a hairy beast and a child. And I was a bit put off by that. My worry wasn’t needed though. Devin was young, but it was explained quite early that he was small but most definitely an adult.This book had a little bit of everything. Interspecies sex. Kidnapping. Evil Scientists. Assassins. And best of all “stupid aggressive DNA”. It was humorous and engaging. Devin the human, was orphaned as a baby, he had a bit of street smart. But falls head over heels into instalove with Bastian… who manages to knock him up and disappear. And then Devin’s life gets a bit crazy.This was not a book I would typically read. But I enjoyed it and I’m seriously considering the next book which I think features Devin’s best friend Peri. =)
