So, I have to admit, I have a not so secret girl crush on JLH and this book made me love her even more. It's not that it taught me much about love & romance that I didn't already know, it's that she helped me realize that I'm not alone in these experiences & feelings. It was funny too. Being such a big fan of Jennifer Love Hewitt made learning she has a sense of humor like my best friend even more awesome. So if you need a little emotional healing or just a good laugh & JLH is someone you like even just a little, this is the book for you. Thank you Ms. Hewitt for being so open with fans & strangers alike, I hope you continue to have the guts to write more personal books like this in the future. If you do, I'll be there to read them ;-) I know a lot of people have canned this book, but really guys, how serious did you think this 'guide to dating' would be? If you're one of those people that needs a 'guide' to date, then you're already in trouble. So I approached this book with the 'tongue-in-cheek' manner that I believe it was meant to be taken and found it enjoyable.Jennifer Love Hewitt's ability to open up about everything from her dating experiences to vagazzaling makes it a fun, easy read. If you can sit down and read the book without trying to figure out whether various dating tips should be followed or not (much like some of my girlfriends did), then you will probably enjoy it too.However, I must say, on the down side, the chapter written by the ex (JK) was unnecessary. I found myself skimming through that part just to get back to the funny bits.
