Read this for a book discussion and it is a good choice for that as there are issues to discuss. It started off well, but didn't hold up. Keeping track of the characters was difficult and there were too many sub plots. The book could have used some editing. There was a good story here which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. Based on other reviews this is not the author's best book, so I would be willing to try another. And justice for all…………Cradle In The Grave by Sophie Hannah, a mystery with an element of psychological suspense that chronicles the legal cases of three mothers that were wrongly accused of murdering their children. Their cases come under review after allegations of misconduct are brought against the doctor who testified against them at trial. Their story is being put together as a documentary by television producer, Fliss Benson, who for reasons of her own, does not want to be a part of this particular project at all.Several murders occur and a card with an identical series of 16 numbers printed on it is left behind as a clue. This same card is also sent to Fliss Benson and her eccentric boss, Laurie, leading each to initially think that they may be targets as well. Although Fliss is unsure of who is guilty or innocent at this point, she continues to dig in order to put the pieces together for the documentary and receives help from a most unlikely source. The plot continues its twists and turns, keeping you constantly questioning the conclusion that you just reached until the end when all is revealed. I don’t want to say more for fear of letting anything slip and ruining the book for anyone.Sophie Hannah engaged me with a good storyline, her interesting characters like Fliss and Laurie, and her ability to keep me guessing until she was ready to reveal the truth.
Do You like book The Cradle In The Grave (2011)?
The plot was quite compelling, but the characters themselves were dullards.
