I don't think I've ever been more confused or frustrated by a book. On one hand, the plot was fantastic and the writing was excellent - it was one of the most descriptive books I have ever read. On the other hand, it was extremely confusing and convoluted and the pacing was terrible. I felt like I had to force my way through it - but I really wanted to know what happened! It felt like a long, hard journey, but overall, I'm glad I made it. I picked up this book because it was big and had an interesting cover and I needed something that would last me at least a week. Well the best laid plans...this was so fascinating that it lasted me only a couple of days. Revisionist history always fascinates me-this one mixes time travel, and the author manages to keep everyone moving along, without being confusing. A great read and a great ride!
A huge, but fast-paced adventure! Alternate history, time travel, the Titanic...what's not to like?
