The book “Nancy Drew and The Clue Of The Dancing Puppet” , with 177 pages , written in 1990 by Carolyn Keen is intended for older kids from ages ten to fourteen . The main problem in “ The clue of the dancing puppet “ is that every night a mysterious puppet comes out and dances in the backyard of “ The Footlighter’s “ theater . Along with this strange phantom are numerous jewelry thefts. Nancy Drew, a clever, daring amateur sleuth. Who always thinks ahead, and her two closest friends Bess and George go the “The Footlighters” theater to investigate the baffling mystery of the dancing puppet. Every night a strange life sized puppet dances on the front lawn of the “ Footlighters “. The puppet has no visible strings and when it moves it is graceful but it jerks with every movement. While investigating the attic of the theater the amateur sleuth found an old diary of the maker of the puppets. The diaries lead her to find a patriot and a witch puppets which are later stolen when she finds out that each puppet contained expensive jewelry. This lead to the arrest of the man named Terrnal and Whimply. After this when Nancy goes back to the theater she finds the amateur actress, Tammi , dancing like the dancing puppet. Tammi confessed to being the dancing puppet to help Whimply steal the jewelry by distracting people long enough for him to steal his treasures after she attacked Nancy and got her mask ripped off.ttttI enjoyed reading the book “Nancy Drew and The Clue of the Dancing Puppet”, because it kept my attention and I never knew what would happen next. Like on page eighteen Nancy got a call that said “I’m the dancing puppet, go away!” This quote makes you wonder what would happen next and makes you want to keep on reading to find out. And on page fifty-nine one of the actresses ran through the door and yelled “I saw a witch!” this quote makes you wonder if it was a real witch or if the actress was just imagining things, and makes you want to keep reading to find out.ttttI think that the theme of “Nancy Drew and the clue of the dancing Puppet” , is that things aren’t always what they seem. Like how at the beginning of the story I thought that that there was only one puppet and there ended up to be four. I thought that there was nothing special about the puppets but they ended up concealing precious jewelry. And I thought that the puppet that was dancing was a real puppet and someone was controlling it. But the dancing puppet ended up being the actress Tammi dressed up and dancing on the lawn.ttttI would recommend this book to people that enjoy suspense, adventure, and mystery books. I would recommend this book to them because “Nancy Drew and the clue of the dancing puppet“ has all of those elements in it. “Nancy drew and the clue of the dancing puppet “will keep you hanging and you will keep wanting to read on until you finish.ttttSomething that sets “Nancy Drew and the clue of the dancing puppet “ apart from other books is that the detective Nancy Drew was not called to the mystery. She was going to the theater with some friends who wanted to be in the plays . And the owner of the theater knew who she was and asked her to stay to see the puppet and if she could solve the mystery.
The word "reducing" appears somewhere that the word "auditioning" or "rehearsing" should appear, like "been reducing to get a part in a play." However, it's in reference to Bess, so maybe "reducing" is the correct word. (There is some hideous fat-shaming in this book; Bess watches TV in order to skip dessert, once a dessert is substituted with a healthier one, and at another time she reaches into the fridge and grabs a jar of mayonnaise, to the immediate derision of George and Nancy.)There's very little plot and it's all in the last two chapters. Apparently some random guys are looking for a lost puppet because it contains "a secret that will make the finder wealthy," which is, as always, a Lost Textile Process (in this instance, aluminum fuel cell technology). We also find that Nancy is a skilled actress, and the troupe she's performing with is called the Footlighters, but every time I see it I think Foo Fighters.Nancy loses consciousness when an unknown assailant throws a cannonball at her head. Nancy, Bess, and George lose consciousness when someone rams their parked car.
Do You like book The Clue Of The Dancing Puppet (1962)?
This is the first Nancy Drew book I've picked up since I was younger. There was one time a few years ago I began reading another one, but it was at the library and I had to put it back before I left. So technically this is my first NB read since I was 11 or so, and I enjoyed it! Of course as an adult reading these, there are some things I sort of roll my eyes at. This is a decent nancy Drew book, but I enjoy the ones more where she gets to travel and this one is set in her home state. Plot is about an actor who found a journal that talked about a secret that would make someone a lot of money. He told the girl he loved. She told her brother who told his friends who ran a two man jewelry theft ring. So on top of being jewelry thieves they look for the secret treasure on the side and use mechanical puppets to try to scare away the inhabitants of the home. the setting is a theatre company which is kind of fun. There is no big nancy vs. villain scene where she has to use her wits to escape and capture them.

I was going through some of things when I discovered this worn out book that I read when I was in 3'rd grade. I skimmed through it and remembered it immediately. A clear thing I remember about this is that I remember my copy was from a library, but I lost it and was so freaked out. Turns out the librarian didn't even care for this book (Can you believe it?) and just ignored that I lost it, and went on with her life. Some book lover.On to the point, I also remember this book a lot. The plot, characters, everything. It was creepier than other Nancy Drew books and I loved every moment of it. From then on I told myself I was going to read every Nancy Drew book, but turns out I only read five. Um. Fail, much? So now I'll be taking up my time to try and read this whole series, because they're still very good, a classic, and who doesn't love them? I'll be recording my process on Goodreads obviously so I can keep track of them. The five books I already read don't count. I just bought three books to add to my collection because they were all on sell today.
