A fun read for a Yankee/baseball fan. I really enjoyed the chapter about the last season of Yankee Stadium and gaining some insight into what was really important to Mariano in his career and how important the relationships he has with teammates and other members of the organization were. A deeply religious man and the greatest closer to ever play the game. Quick and easy read, if you loved Mo or love baseball you should read it. I love this book almost as much I love Mariano Rivera. Wow that sounds creepy. Now in a much manly-er voice...Great book, by a great guy and excellent pitcher. It has good stories and a look at some other aspects of someone everyone respects. It might be a little "inside baseball"...literally, as he talks through the years he spent on the mound, closing out games, racking up saves, and becoming a figure in sports history. It helps to be a Yankee fan, but it isn't necessary. I personally felt like I was getting the commentary track on all of the memories I have had watching the Yanks. I will read it again, the next time I realize that all of favorite players are now retired. Nothing like ending the review on a down note... Great sports memoir.
