Bagus.Jalan ceritanya menyenangkan. Semua masalah bisa terselesaikan dengan mudah, namun pada bagian "kepala Magnus" sedikit kecewa karena 'terlalu gampang' selesai. Selain itu, kisah cinta antara Hannah dan Frederick yang pada awalnya muncul sebagai pendamping saja, tiba-tiba sedikit 'menguasai' alur cerita #imho.Untuk rasa petualangannya kurang menegangkan, terlalu ringan malah, tidak ada bagian yang benar-benar bisa membuat saya menahan napas saat membaca.Well, 4 bintang untuk buku ini, untuk tata bahasa yang menyenangkan. :) Set in the 1800s, three children's lives will become entwined. Giuseppe is a street musician who is forced to give all his money to his patroni, a man who will beat or kill him if he disobeys or doesn't bring back enough money. Frederick is an apprentice clockmaker who was at a workhouse before he was rescued by his master. Hannah had to quit school after her father's stroke to work as a maid in a hotel to support their family. Each of them needs something to escape their drudgery. The story is an adventure story involving automatons (early robots), hidden treasure, and the constant threat of death. In the end, they all manage to solve each other's problems. Giuseppe's master is killed & he gets his green violin. A wealthy woman is going to take him back to Italy where he can play before kings. Frederick manages to get a clockwork man working, which helps to save Giuseppe. He also learns enough about automatons to build his own & be accepted into the guild as a master clockmaker. He discovers the secrets of his past, too. Hannah is hunting for hidden treasure which leads into hidden passages. In the end, she must turn to the hotel owner who give her job back after she was fired & makes her the head of the hotel maids. Although the story was too long & too complex to summarize, I really enjoyed it. The audiobook was excellent.
