Ho-ho! It's too early for me to read about Christmas cheers and merry singing, but this book fascinated me by a glimpse. Some of the readers here did not quite get the essence of this novella. The christmas lamp did nothing as an object, but it symbolically represented the light that Nativity needed. Jake Brisco was the one who brought that light with the aim of financially saving the town. On the other hand, Roni Elliot was having confusions about her feelings for jake. Well, it's a cozy book :) i liked it. A cute, short (144 page) Christmas story about a little town called Nativity, Missouri and their struggle to stay afloat financially. With the town slowly disappearing, the people will have to come together and remember the true meaning of Christmas and that money is not necessary for it.It was a nice, quick read. I enjoyed that it wasn't overly preachy. Had the typical message of what Christmas was all about. Predictable. The characters were fairly limited and my connection to them was also limited, but not really surprising given the length of the book. I could have done without the cheesy romance that occurred. I have nothing against a little romance in book but this one left me rolling my eyes.
Do You like book The Christmas Lamp (2009)?
it was good I think there were possibilities to make this into a novel instead of a short story.

The people and town of Nativity remind me of the Whos' in Whoville.
