This story was captivating from beginning to end! You want life to get better for Luke and Violet! When they finally arrest Mira Price I cheered. Then Mira's taunting of Violet while she is identifying Mira in the police line up by singing the song that she sang the night Violet's parents were killed was cruel. Luckily Luke is there and calms her. Luke and Violet are finally finding out how much they love and need each other. And Luke is starting to mend his feelings for his dad who left him with that monster of a mother. Then the police finally arrest Preston who has been threatening Violet. The police find that he was the son of the man who was with Mira that killed Violet's parents. Preston was only out for revenge on Violet for his father commiting suicide after he killed Violet's parents. It is a beautiful story and Violet and Luke get their Happily Ever After. Thank you Jessica Sorensen for this wonderful story. For three books I have been wanting to get more of Luke and Violet's relationship. In their final book, I got it. It wasn't pretty, but no part of their relationship has been pretty. They both have temptations to overcome. Violet still needs some work. Thank goodness that Luke has his stuff together in this one. He is the reason that this book was so good. He is the reason that Violet can finally overcome her past. I was going to give this book four stars because I just don't identify with Violet's choices even though I understand her. But, when I read the epilogue I decided that this book needed 5 stars. This couple has been through a bit of everything. This is not a fun read. It is an intense read. There aren't very many happy go lucky moments in the book. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
Uneventful but nice and sweet :)Nice way of ending the story, without too much drama.
