While Cat attempts to share the classic "Little Red Riding Hood" story with his friend Dog, the easily distracted Dog keeps interrupting to ask questions or share connections. The picture book is funny from beginning to end, including observations about its endpapers. When Dog asks a question about Grandma's whereabouts, it's the final straw for Cat. I'm sure there isn't a reader alive who hasn't experienced this sort of thing when trying to share a favorite story with someone. Most of the illustrations feature black and white lines with bits of color added. Age: Kindergarten-2nd gradeCat starts to tell Dog the story of Little Red Riding Hood but Dog cannot stop asking questions and poking holes in the logic of the story. Cat is annoyed but continues to read on with relish and animation. Although there is a slight transphobic jab ("He likes to dress up in girls' clothes?") the mockery of Little Red will most definitely have older kids rolling on the floor.
