I really wish this series was longer, I truly do. I just finished this the fifth, and there's only one more, and oh, Nancy Springer, how can you stop Enola's adventures there? This installment is excellent, just fabulous. Listening to Katherine Kellgren's narration is like eating the most delicious candy - you never want it to end. As always, the mystery is interesting, and the thing I love most about this series - the continual depth and growth of the characters - takes center stage. She ran away from home right after her mother left the family. She was 14 years old. She started living with a lady named Mrs. Tupper. While living with Mrs. Tupper Enola was going by a different name. One day Mrs. Tupper received a mysterious letter. She didn't know what the letter was talking about, and what message she had to give to the mysterious person. Two days afterwards, Mrs. Tupper got abducted. Enola was shocked. She put her best thinking hat on to try and find Mrs. Tupper. In the end, with a little help from Mrs. Nightinggale, and her brother Sherlock Holmes, Enola was able to find and rescue Mrs. Tupper. This book would be good for grades 3-5. The students can read this book, and afterwards write their own Mystery.
