This book in the series was as well-written as the others, but the plot was the most upsetting to me. Unfortunately, there was a lot of truth used in the plot line - abuse at a boys "reform" school. It broke my heart to read some of the things that were done to those children. However, the authors do the topic justice, and bring the sad issue to light in the hopes that our society will never again allow ANY children to suffer such cruelty, no matter what they may have done to get themselves in trouble. The book tugged at my heartstrings and endeared me to the main character even more.Now, on to the next book in the series! The infamous North Florida Boy's Reformatory. Sad but true story. This fictionalize account about discovering clandestinely buried bodies on the grounds of the Reformatory makes me want to scream, shake someone, and then track down our sources of information about this horrific incident in Florida's history.Tragic, but the novel was VERY good. Compelling and well worth reading. I'm looking forward to reading more of The Body Farm novels.
