About book The Binding (2000)

First when I read the synopsis sounded good so the comments mostly and the rating and I was exited,The beginning was good and I thought it was developing to great story but thenWhat happened??Female characters were weak and the were waiting to guys save them and were acting like they were helpless and then they were supposed to be elves but they were more like some weirdo faes. I was seriously disappointed. Tharin Lunar is in line to become King but as a Sidhe prince he is betrothed to a women of the Willow Clan one of the 13 clans in the Sidhe united nations but first he has to leave behind his lover in search of his future queen, Lily.Lily Micheals is half human and half Sidhe, she lost her brother 4 years prior and now he is back and intent to kill her. Tharin, along with his twin brother and their 3 cousins are there to save and bring back Lily to united the clans and stop a upcoming war, well when Lily finds out that she is to wed Tharin and she put up her defenses and fights to save the brother she lost and wants her help him become the brother she lost. Well until she learns that Tharin has a lover waiting for him, her self esteem goes down and will do anything to stop falling for this arrogant prince. Along with her she brings her close friend not just for company but to also protect her from her abusive stepfather and step brother that used her as their own personal punching bag, but Tharins twin Tolan falls for the beaten Julia and well do anything to help her accept him. Well Lily's brother that may not be a brother, but there is her actual twin brother she dont know existed is also out to kill her. This is not a bad full length story but there is a lot of back and forth between Lily and Tharin but also the emotions are mixed up.
