Just like all of the others, this book starts off right where the last one ended and of course we love how Jacob tells her off and kicks her out but the constant interference by Rachel has become too much and Leila thinks they need to meet with her once and for all and get this settled and make sure she understands there is no future for her and Jacob with her without Leila in the picture. So Rachel meets them at Jacob's office and a secret is revealed that makes Leila's worst nightmare a reality. Once again her friend helps her see what is right in front of her. Jacob tells the truth and one of the things he says to her that made me love him more was "Can you give me forever?" He is so wonderful. I love how spontaneous he is, when he wants her he takes her, he doesn't care where they are, it is so hot. I liked how Megan and Jacob got along right from the start and when they had an unwelcomed guest Meg didn't hesitate to speak her two cents. I was so proud of Leila trying to fix things with Jacob's mother, letting her see who she really was instead of the lies told by Rachel but his mother didn't want to hear it, she is nasty. There could not have been a more perfect part of the story then when they were at the staff wine reception, Leila finally didn't let Rachel have the last word and what Jacob did during this reception was perfect. I was saying over and over again "In your face Rachel" how mature right lol I am more and more excited for each book coming but I am also aware that I am getting to the end of the series and am already feeling sad. Wow! Definitely an emotional roller coaster ride! Rachel is still a crazy psycho and I wish Leila or even Megan would kick her ass! I've always been a big fan of Megan because she doesn't let Leila hide or make excuses. As for Jacob's mom..I guess I can kinda see why she acted the way she did towards Leila because of her own unhappy marriage & past...but still not a fan of hers and kudos to Leila for at least trying to make an effort! As for Jacob still hot as ever and totally in love with Leila! Loved his surprise at the end and one of my favorite songs! Can't wait to see what book 9 has in store for us! Love this series and Ava you keep us wanting more every time!
