About book The Bigger They Are (2000)

Lots of problems with this one.To sum it up I detected no BDSM other than that one scene and it wasn't even at the hands of Charlie. The kink didn't bother me.....that much, because whatever floats your boat, and I became a bit desensitized after so many usage of that word that I had to accept that was their thing. But seriously, did anyone see the submissive in Wren when he was with Charlie? Charlie definitely wasn't a Dom, or Dominant, so there goes that. Also, I didn't feel the love that Wren had for Charlie at the beginning, at all.Share your thoughts. I debated for several minutes over whether this deserved one or two stars. I have given it two . I hated the characters with a passion normally reserved for university students who cycle on the pavement. They were shallow, ill thought out, one dimensional with no original voice. 'Call me Daddy'? Really? Oh goodness me, no no no. It was all too silly to take seriously, and the sex scene was flat and cold, much like the paper cut-outs posing as protagonists. That said...I have a feeling that Kim Alan is possibly new to writing. There is potential in her tone, and her overall style is accessible and engaging. With work on character development and setting of scenes? There's definitely something there, but it hasn't yet emerged. I do wish she keeps well away from the BDSM scene, however. If the author wishes to write about it, then maybe she should learn her subject matter before putting pen to paper, as it were.
