The Sasquatch Escape was a good book and I give it 4 out of 5 stars. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because there are some slow parts of the book and I wanted the adventure to start sooner. The book has adventure, mystery and fantasy genres. I recommend that all my classmates read it, they will really like it.The story is about a boy named Ben that goes to stay with his grandfather for the summer. Ben thinks it's going to be the most boring summer ever but it turns out to be a summer full of excitement. He becomes friends with a local girl named Pearl and together they have to find the sasquatch that they let escape from the hospital for imaginary creatures. My favorite parts are when Ben and Pearl have to take the baby dragon to the worm hospital and they find out it's really a hospital for imaginary creatures. I also like the part when they find the sasquatch at the nursing home, hiding under the table eating jello pudding. They end up chasing the sasquatch all over town, but they do do finally get it back to the imaginary creatures hospital. When they are back to the hospital for mythical creatures, Dr. Woo, gives them sasquatch catching certificates and asks them to become interns for the summer. There is more adventure for Ben and Pearl and I will be reading the next book in the series. It should be cool to find out what other creatures they talk about. A fun series about two friends and a veterinarian for imaginary creatures. This book is just right for 4th graders and will become an instant hit with many students. It will make a great addition to our mythology text sets. I am looking forward reading the other adventures in this series. There are a total of four books in this series so far. Mrs. Richards will have to add this one to her LONG list of books to get for the classroom library. Let me know what you think.
Fun, imaginative story. Looking forward to sharing w/ my son.
