I have only ever read Cynthia Eden's adult novels before and was a little bit nervous to read her first teen story. However, I am so glad that I did because it was incredible! Even though this story is shorter than a full-length novel it captures your attention from the very beginning and doesn't ever lose it. I found myself really rooting for the main characters and choosing which male character I would like the female lead to end up with. (Thank goodness she ended up with the guy I was rooting for!) This story had a lot of action and suspense but with a bit of teen romance thrown in. My only note was that I wished that the story was a little bit longer. I was just ecstatic when I received Cynthia Eden latest book. What made it even more exciting was that The Better To Bite is the first in her newest YA Paranormal series. And what a wonderful series it is going to be!When the local sheriff goes missing, Anna’s father is called in to replace him. So he and Anna move from Chicago to the small town called Haven. This is the place where he and Anna’s deceased mother grew up and fell in love. But the woods around Haven aren’t safe. Large wolves are roaming around and several hikers and townspeople have gone missing.Anna wants to help. She has a special gift that only her father knows about. She can find what is lost. Unfortunately she not the only one keeping secrets…YA readers of all ages are going to love reading The Better To Bite. The mystery, the romance and the paranormal aspects are sure to entertain you as much as the fast paced plot will keep you from putting it down.
I have to say this was a heck if a thrill ride, never saw the culprit coming until revealed.
