I love this. Great beginner guide to everything you would need to start a strong backyard garden. Maybe after several years I will need something more advanced. However, for only my third year gardening, this has been and will be referenced for basics. How to enrich soil, garden design and set up, keeping our first few chickens...all with the help of this book. It is also worth mentioning that the book, itself, has adorable illustrations. A modern guide to homesteading on a small plot. One of my favorite gardening/homesteading books. This book is so inspiring and includes all the important information a person needs to start a backyard homestead. There are a lot of suggested plants for different zones, so I think it would be a good book for lots of different areas. Definitely this book is a good starting place for a person who is underutilizing their land and wants to get more out of it.

Lots of good info, but some stuff that doesn't appeal to me, like making homemade beer or wine.
