From My Newsletter Number 86:This review is on The Atlantis World (The Origin Mystery, Book 3) by A.G Riddle. It is the third and final book in the Series. This story starts out at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico where Doctor Mary Caldwell has been searching for radio signals from other intelligent life in the universe. She finally receives a radio signal composed of a code that repeats itself. It contains binary digits that seem to locate Earth in its solar system. She notifies her former husband for help. The radio signal received could be the world’s salvation, or it could lead to their doom.David Vale and Kate Warner are in the Alpha Lander 1200 feet below sea level off the Northern Coast of Morocco. Kate is sick and is trying to uncover more memories of her past life by entering a medical glass vat with a neural implant to search for memories stored in the spaceship Lander’s computer network. Kate has already found a cure for the Atlantis Plague, but billions of people have already died. The war between the Immari International and the Orchid Alliance is still being fought.Elsewhere, Dorian Sloan and Ares are staying in another Atlantean spaceship under the ice cap of Antarctica. Ares is still trying to raise a human army to fight the advanced enemy race that wiped out almost all Atlanteans in a single day thousands of years ago. The enemy is real and is still bent on wiping out all human races in the universe. This book goes into a lot of detail on the Atlantean past history and the reasons for its defeat by a vast unstoppable enemy army. It explains the relationship between Dorian Sloan and Ares and between Kate Warner and her past lives. It also gives the reasons for the plague and for the Atlantean gene that was passed on to humans.I give this book four stars because the conclusion of the story is interesting and entertaining. However, I did find this final story overly complex and had a hard time following all the plot lines and understanding the history behind the Atlanteans fight for survival and the impact of the Atlantis Gene in the human genome. Adored this ending. I found it alot easier to understand than the first two (I think). Sure there were some parts that were a little too unbelievable. I did not for one realise that Dorian was stronger than Ares for example. Apart from that am I the only one who noticed that the 3 Atlanteans in the story were not only named after Gods (which is brilliant if you think about it since people in the book treated them as such and the author paid attention to such a teensy detail like this. Brava!), but that their names relate to what the gods were supposed to do. For example, In ancient Roman religion and mythology, Janus is the god of beginnings and transitions, thence also of gates, doors, doorways, endings and time. He is usually a two-faced god since he looks to the future and the past.Isis was a protective goddess, she used powerful magic spells to help people in need. And Ares is the god of war. Coincidence? I'm starting to sound like the host on Ripley's. Ok, done now.
Do You like book The Atlantis World (2000)?
Liked the series, but a little disappointed in the ending. Too much implausible ruined my attention.
