Meh. I am sorry but it was so predictable and Celaena, bless her heart, rubs me the wrong way. She doesn't even follow her own advice. You know the first novella where she tell the Healer that she should go and just get to her destination regardless of money? Nope not for Celaena she takes a job and gifts from the man who beat her. SERIOUSLY? Are you kidding me... It might make sense to Celaena since she is as vain and self-centered as can be but to me it is stupid. Sorry, I can't think a story is great where someone who almost died being beaten comes back and takes gifts from him. Especially, if she is supposed to be cunning and super intelligent as the greatest assassin in the entire kingdom. Stockholm syndrome is justified if it is believable. Not here. The stuff with Sam and Celaena were cute. I will admit it. Deus ex machina for saving her from the sewers. Hahaha, oh so convenient! I really hate Arobynn and what he did to Celaena at the end. I thought that he would treat her better than that, but of course not. And I was so happy to see Celaena and Sam finally together, but I'm not really looking forward to the last story if it's going to be what I think it is. I knew that there was something up with that woman, and I hated that Celaena sold her horse to that horrid woman. At least they don't have to live with Arobynn anymore. One plus to her horrible life at the moment.
