About book The Arrangement 17: The Ferro Family (2000)
Why oh why do I keep buying these. I truly enjoyed the first installments of this series, but I have been disappointed pretty much since AR13. I keep hoping that if I give it one more try I will be surprised/satisfied with the story. Not so much. This last installment, AR 17, felt like it was phoned in. There are no answers or resolutions, only more questions. I know that the author does this to keep people (me included) coming back and purchasing more books. But let's be honest if these books, and I use that term loosely, were in print format only No One would pay 2.99 for a 125 page book in a series that never ends. I understand that the author says this series is fan driven and writes more because that's what people want. Well what about her fans that just want it to end? I have made comments on Facebook and Amazon to this effect. While I did have people agree with me about resolving the series, what I mainly got were nasty uber fans making comments that eventually resulted in the thread being shut down. If Ms. Ward were really listening to ALL of her fans and not just her bank account the next installment would be longer (more that 125 pages), have more content, and END. I just love this series! But this one took me by surprise! I have always loved Sean and Avery's crazy relationship. But this scared me. This is far from where I expected this story to go. Sean's darkness was so edgy in this book I did not know what to think. Confusion rained! Marty and Mel's deceiption also had me angry. But Avery going to Constance really frightens me. Evil verses evil! Black verses Constance? This sends chills up my spine. When I got to the end at work I was yelling at my Nook saying No! More please! I had people looking at me curse my Nook! But that did not stop me! Now I am pacing waiting for The Arrangement 18! Thanks Holly!
