2nd novel. not nearly as good as 1st. Best part was (I finally figured out at the end :( ) it predates the 1st: Daniel Sempere and Sons bookshop returns and the "son" Daniel never married...this is Daniel's (from 1st novel)'s Dad. This main character David Martin introduces Isabella to the "son." They have 1 boy-Daniel- whose mother (Isabella) dies when he is 4 y/o (this is how the 1st novel begins).Basically, David lives with father--angry, becomes a drunk, who is murdered on the street. David works at a newspaper. Don Basilio (rich) works there too and takes David under his wing.David writes a novel (good but panned) and Don Basilio writes a novel (crappy, rewritten by David with help of Cristina (Basilio's chauffeur's daughter). He loves Cristina but she marries Basilio. Also dying of brain tumor. All seems lost. David see his soul to the devil, heals his tumor, asks him to write/invent a religion. David lives in old mansion of another shot turns out did the same thing. Lives forever and kills a bunch of people. Devil admits he made a mistake and brings Cristina back to David's a little girl. David will live forever but watch her grow again. This book, I've loved for quite a few years. It will always be my favorite book. It has amazing plot twists, text, and everything else. The Angel's Game takes place in Barcelona. Even the view and sound of the word is beautiful and enlightening; Barcelona. I love so many characters it's hard to consider that only so few are the actual main ones, but it's true. David Martin, started off as a child who loved books and did for the rest of his life. His ways to access books were all thanks to Senor Sempere, they had the greatest connection, really. David has many people that led him to be the person he is, Andreas Corelli was a person who changed his life, for many years. Andreas is a writer no one seems to know or heard of, and that's strange. There is so much to this book you must know, it's fascinating. David goes through adventures along his way, and many individuals help him experience that. A woman, Christina, is one of them. She is the soul mate, deep down inside, of David. He does so much to go after her and his boss, Don Pedro, ends up marrying her. It's crazy, so much to know and so much happening around. This is a great book filled with Romance, action, mystery, and thrill. I recommend this book to mature and intrigued audience who loves to experience shock. It will leave you with many mixed emotions and I can't say you'll not regret reading this book, because you won't.
